Senior Vision System Engineer

We’re hiring on behalf of a globally leading manufacturer of automation solutions. They’ve got a great name in the market, modern offices, loads of investment in R&D, and a genuinely good place to work. They’ve recently opened a brand-new award-winning facility in the Stuttgart area, complete with a Proof-of-Concept Lab where customers can try out and validate solutions on site.

The team there now needs someone to join as the subject matter expert for all things machine vision.

The role

You’ll be supporting customer projects across a range of industries—automotive, pharma, F&B, etc.—and helping to build smart, workable solutions using vision systems and sensors. You’ll run demos, support feasibility studies, deliver workshops, and act as a technical expert to the wider team. Although machine vision will be the primary focus, you’ll also work with other products, including robotics (industrial, AGVs, collaborative), drives, motion control, and sensors!

The ideal profile

• 5+ years in machine vision
• Strong knowledge of machine vision (FH, Cognex, Keyence, Halcon etc.)
• Comfortable working directly with customers
• German at native level (this is a must) and English at professional level
• Some PLC or C++ experience would be a plus

Travel is around 10%—mostly short trips within Europe.
