Sales Director – Mexico
Director of Sales – Mexico
Querétaro | Full-time | On-site
I’m hiring on behalf of a global manufacturer of advanced automation products and systems, supplying cutting-edge solutions to the manufacturing industry worldwide.
With a strong international presence and continued investment in Mexico—including a recently established production and engineering facility—the business is entering its next phase of growth and is seeking a Director of Sales to lead and scale the commercial organisation.
The Opportunity
This is a high-impact leadership role, taking ownership of a well-established sales team and driving the next stage of growth across Mexico.
The business already has a strong foundation — particularly within automotive and established industrial sectors — but the real opportunity lies in:
- Expanding into new industries (e.g. electronics)
- Increasing local market penetration
- Strengthening sales structure, strategy, and execution
- Driving revenue towards a €15–20M+ trajectory over the coming years
This is not a “maintenance” role. It’s a build, lead, and elevate position.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and develop a national sales team (12 FTEs) across Mexico
- Define and execute a clear commercial strategy aligned with global objectives
- Build stronger key account structures and processes
- Increase presence in high-growth sectors and new customer segments
- Work closely with the General Manager (Mexico) and international leadership
- Spend significant time in the field — with customers, teams, and partners
- Strengthen collaboration with distributors and system integrators
- Drive a more structured, proactive, and strategic sales culture
What They’re Looking For
- Proven experience in sales leadership within industrial automation
- Strong understanding of: Automation components / systems, OEMs, integrators, and end users
- Experience managing and developing regional or national sales teams
- Ability to bring structure, strategy, and accountability
- A hands-on leader — not office-based, but active in the market
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to scale revenue and teams
- Experience working within international / matrix organizations
Why This Role Stands Out
- Visible leadership impact – you’ll shape the direction of the Mexican business
- Backed by a globally recognized brand with strong technical capability
- Significant investment already made in local manufacturing and infrastructure
- A team that is stable, motivated, and ready for stronger leadership
- Real opportunity to build something, not just manage it
Package
- Approx. MXN $1.4M – $1.6M including bonus (80/20 split)
- Company car + standard benefits
- Flexibility for the right candidate
