Senior System Architect – Rugged Industrial PCs (COMe / VPX)

Location: Grenoble area (3+ days/week on-site)

This company is a global leader in embedded electronics and industrial PCs for high-demand sectors such as aerospace, defence, security, transport, and energy. Their systems are engineered to withstand up to 15G shock and extreme temperatures, fully customised for each customer’s needs.

Demand is growing fast, and they’re looking for a seasoned System Architect / Electrical Design Engineer to design and deliver bespoke rugged computing platforms for customers worldwide. This is a senior role – you’ll need to bring a track record of end-to-end system architecture on COM Express (COMe) and/or VPX/OpenVPX platforms for industrial or defence markets.

You’ll define specifications, select components, lead design reviews, and work closely with customers from initial requirements through to delivery. The work spans both hardware and software integration, with the freedom to influence technology choices and the company’s future direction.

What we’re looking for:

• Based within commuting distance of Grenoble (on-site 3+ days/week).
• Fluent French + professional English.
• 7+ years’ experience in embedded/industrial computing, with delivered projects on COMe and/or VPX platforms.
• Proven experience designing rugged or industrial PC systems for demanding environments.
• Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
