Global Account Manager – Automotive (Germany)
Location: Anywhere in Germany (remote with travel)
Fluent German required
I’m supporting a globally leading manufacturer of automation solutions as they look to hire a Global Account Manager focused on one of their most strategic customers: the Volkswagen Group.
This is a senior role—not about transactional sales, but long-term strategy. You’ll be responsible for developing the group-wide approach to VW, aligning with internal teams globally, and working closely with technical and commercial stakeholders on both sides.
What’s involved
- Define and drive the global sales strategy for VW Group
- Manage relationships across all levels—technical, operational, and executive
- Coordinate new projects and ongoing business
- Own the global account plan and act as the main contact for this key customer
- Represent the full product portfolio across factory/process automation, sensors, robotics etc.
You’ll need
- Strong background in strategic sales within the automation industry
- Experience in key account management within the automotive industry
- Excellent stakeholder skills and commercial instinct
- Fluent German and English
- Willingness to travel internationally
