Project Engineer

Location: Blanchardstown, Ireland

Employment type: Full time, permanent

Frankland Automation* are recruiting on behalf of a leading globally provider of comprehensive automation solutions and services with over 1,400 staff and $365M in revenue, spread across 17 offices worldwide. This position is based at their Irish office on the outskirts of Dublin, focusing on the development and implementation of building automation systems.

Ideal Candidate:

• Professional level English (C1, C2, or Native)
• Engineering Degree (MBO, HBO, MS, or BS) in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automation
• Deep understanding of control system design and coding
• 2+ years of experience leading technical projects and teams
• 5+ years of experience with Trend IQVision and IQ SET Control Systems
• Niagara 4 Certified

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical aspects of projects with small to medium-sized teams
• Assist the Project Manager in identifying scope changes and developing change orders
• Translate functional requirements into system configurations
• Design control system networks and control strategies
• Act as a technical contact for clients
• Program controllers and configure automation equipment
• Select automation equipment and instrumentation
• Design electrical control cabinets with CAD technician support
• Test system configurations to verify functionality
• Travel to client sites for project meetings and system verification
